We turned one of combat sports’ oldest insults into a symbol of competitive advantage.

CLIENT OAKLEY META     SCOPE FILM + BRAND PLATFORM + ATHLETE STORYTELLING

Four Eyes

For years, “four eyes” was an insult. Especially in combat sports, where toughness is often defined by intimidation, glasses were seen as weakness.

But Caio Borralho never hid from them.

So instead of creating another performance campaign about strength, we reframed the very thing people mocked him for as his competitive advantage. Because in fighting — and in life — seeing what others can’t is power.

EXECUTION

The campaign centered around a cinematic film featuring Borralho reframing his lifelong relationship with glasses. Instead of presenting eyewear as a limitation, the story positioned vision as intelligence, awareness, preparation, and strategic edge.

Training with Oakley Meta AI glasses became an extension of that philosophy: seeing more, learning faster, training smarter,
and recognizing patterns others miss. Rather than manufacturing a brand persona, the campaign amplified an authentic one.

CULTURAL IMPACT

The campaign helped reposition “Four Eyes” not as weakness, but as perception-driven confidence. It transformed a childhood insult into a modern performance philosophy: that intelligence, observation, and strategic vision are competitive advantages.

And in a sports culture increasingly obsessed with optimization, data, film study, and adaptation, that message felt culturally timely.

EXTENDING THE CAMPAIGN

To extend the platform beyond the film, Oakley Meta took over an entire UFC weekend by giving fans something the sport had never seen before: a first-person view from inside the Octagon itself. Rather than behaving like another UFC sponsor, Oakley used its AI performance glasses to capture raw POV footage from weigh-ins, press conferences, training sessions, fighter walkouts, and even the work of UFC cutmen between rounds.

For the first time in UFC history, the glasses became the only product ever allowed inside the Octagon during live competition, transforming the campaign from sponsorship into access. Across fighters, creators, and UFC personalities, the activation generated 332 unique social posts and nearly 400 million organic views with zero paid media — positioning Oakley Meta not as another logo in combat sports, but as a completely new way for fans to experience the sport.
